Android Application Tester (Test That Droid )

Yoh has a contract opportunity as an ANDROID APPLICATION TESTER to join our client in Cupertino, CA.

JOB OVERVIEW:

Our client is an inventive research and development company that designs and engineers high-profile, portable, hand-held consumer electronics products, like the Kindle and the new Kindle Fire. We are looking for a talented Software Quality Assurance Engineer to play an integral role in the testing of applications for their Kindle Fire devices. We are looking for someone who is passionate about quality and enthusiastic about the mobile space and cutting edge technology. Job Responsibilities:
- Create test plans and test cases.
- Review user interfaces for conformity and functionality.
- Efficiently execute test cases across all functional areas of our products.
- Review product user interface for conformity to design guidelines.
- Find, isolate, document, regress, and track bugs through resolution.
- Interpret and report testing results, and be a vocal proponent for quality in every phase of the development process.
- Work with Software Development Engineers to understand the overall technical architecture and how each feature is implemented.

Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related technical field
- Five (5) plus years of Software QA testing experience
- Experience testing Android, iOS or other mobile applications
- Demonstrated expertise in Black Box and grey box testing including QA test methodology and tools
- Background in automation using Java or other object-oriented programming language
- Experience in Perl, Python, Shell or other Scripting language
- Product experience with wireless consumer devices
- Strong leadership and organizational skills with ability to track multiple test executions simultaneously and synthesize results
- Shows creativity and initiative to improve product coverage and effectiveness
- Ability to understand technical specifications and analyze log files
- Excellent communication, analytical and problem solving skills
