Android App Integration Specialist

The person will challenge the solution and be key in ensuring high quality and reliable operation. This work requires an understanding of the use-cases for the devices and an in-depth understanding the data entities and data structures to be exchanged as well as ability to understand concepts of standard protocols like USB and concepts like serial and parallel communication ports. In depth knowledge about ePRO (electronic Patient Reported Outcome) application, as well as Android interfaces is an advantage. You will need to evaluate and implement a technical solution as an option for future trials for collection of SMBG data, dose, hypo/hyper, and titration reporting. The ideal solution would be able to act as one point of data collection from the subjects and potentially ensuring a better quality and possibility to continuous follow-up on subjects. This solution should cover needs from both subjects, investigators, study nurses, monitors and Insulin Titration group within The Company.

Tasks

- Review API & interface specifications
- Conduct workshop facilitation in the review process to ensure that requirements are met
- Evaluate vendor solutions and implementation approaches
- Define approach to ensure adequate quality level and robustness and reliability in operation
- Partner with vendors to define implementation strategy
- Participate in vendor negotiations
- Assess project risk
- Outline development, implementation & validation approach

We need somebody with a strong technical background - especially around USB protocol, Android, platform, OTG (On the Go) feature on smart phone, experience with device integration to Android smartphone via USB.
