ANALYTICAL/PHYSICAL PROPERTIES SCIENTIST needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in KING OF PRUSSIA, PA.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Use analytical chemistry and physical property evaluation to evaluate and develop active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and drug products. The position plays a key role in supporting the development of products using an innovative scientific platform for generating APIs.
- Key activities include evaluation of surface polymer content and other solid state characterization of APIs.
- Conducts experiments with minimal supervision and analyze, compile, and report resulting data within the appropriate timeline.
- Works as part of a multi-disciplinary development team, efficiently liaising with team members, and to participate as needed in technical reviews
- Evaluates the pharmaceutical performance of active pharmaceutical ingredients that enable robust simplified formulations.
- Performs laboratory studies to identify critical performance characteristics and requirements by gathering, interpreting, and reporting experimental data within the appropriate timeline.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- B.S. in relevant scientific field (eg, chemistry, analytical chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences etc)
- Five (5) years experience in pharmaceutical analytical operations, including method development and cGMP testing.
- Experience in pharmaceutical solid state/physical properties analysis including powder X-ray diffraction, particle sizing, thermal analysis, microscopy, and surface characterization.
- Experience with analytical chemistry techniques and method development, such as automated HPLC systems.
