ANALYTICAL OFFICER - NHS - LEEDS - £120 PER DAY - 5 MONTHS

My client, a busy central NHS organisation based in Leeds, is currently recruiting for a Analytical Officer, for an immediate start on a 5 month contract.

Job Spec:

The post holder will be a key part of a team delivering an effective analytical service supporting the National Director and NHS Right Care team. They will work closely with the Senior Manager of Analytical Services to ensure the National Right Care Director's key objectives are delivered.

Analytical Officer

As an analyst, you will work as part of a dynamic team in shaping and delivering an effective service supporting the development of high quality analytical resources to help spread the adoption of Right care in the NHS.

The key skills required are:

- Providing high quality analysis in a timely manner to support the roll out of Right Care
- Sourcing data and being able to quickly assess data quality
- Interpreting and communicating complex analysis to non-technical users
- Being innovative, developing new ways of conducting and presenting complex analysis
- Excel skills are essential as well experience in data presentation/visualisation

In particular the post holder will:

- Demonstrate knowledge and practice of a variety of analytical techniques (including a range of Excel skills) to provide quality, timely analysis and intelligence relating to key priorities. These priorities will include assurance and accountability, commissioning, transformation, quality and safety, finance and policy and strategy development;
- Be adaptable when finding analytical solutions to problems, to analyse and triangulate data in innovative ways and present findings clearly to a range of audiences, including writing reports producing graphs, tables and summary statistics;
- Be able to provide quality assurance for the analysis undertaken;
- Have good communication skills and be able to work effectively with people with different perspectives to get the most out of stakeholder relationships;
- Support teams to ensure that the portfolio of tasks/projects is planned, managed and delivered effectively, be calm under pressure and able to juggle competing priorities and tight deadlines. Identify and manage risks and interdependencies in own work area and escalate to enable their oversight by others;
- Ensure accurate and open communication and co-ordination with a range of organisations and individuals, researching and drafting correspondence and papers and ensuring the management of specific tasks, lead reporting and analysis across a range of specialties, functions and projects;
- Be a key member of the team as well as supporting effective communication and stakeholder management, both internally and externally.
