Analytical Chemist

Job Description:
An ideal opportunity for a candidate to gain industrial analytical chemistry experience. Candidate should be a laboratory focused scientist who enjoys performing advanced liquid chromatography separations coupled with ion-trap mas spectrometer detection and working in a team. The ideal candidate would have experience with The Thermo LTQ-XL or equivalent instrument, and be skilled at interpretation of LC-MS and LC-MS/MS.

The candidate would use skills in liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry as part of a multidisciplinary analytical team that is focused on characterization of food materials. Develop, validate, and deploy novel LC-MS and LC-MS/MS techniques for quantitation of various species. Provide technical leadership in emerging areas of separations and mass spectrometry. Experience with food a plus and folks with a pharma background tend to do well in this role.

Candidate must have PhD and have minimum 2 years experience in LC-MS, including LC-MS/MS. Candidate should possess good general analytical skills and understanding of Food Systems.
Advanced computer skills required. Strong technical leadership skills and experience working with Natural Products desired.
