We have a number of opportunities within various intelligence teams offering secondments and fixed term appointments ending in March 2016 or for a period of up to 2 years.

The opportunity:

As the independent regulator of health and adult social care in England, we make sure that hospitals, dentists, GPs, ambulances, care homes, and care-home agencies meet government standards of quality and safety. Our work touches the lives of everyone in the country - and everything we do relies on effective analysis.

Join us as an Analyst Team Leader and you will take on a role like no other, working with unique data and influencing decisions that help CQC to ensure England's health and social care is safe and effective. You will join a highly ambitious analytics unit that aims to be at the cutting edge in the use of health and social care information.

Take on this role, and you will lead a team analysing data on the services used by millions of people. You will take a full and active role, from allocating workloads and monitoring delivery, to developing the skills of individual team members. At the same time you could be designing systems, processes and tools for modelling, analysis and interpretation of data, or meeting with providers to explain our Intelligence products. It's an excellent opportunity to take on high profile projects that you can get immersed in.

About you:

You will be degree qualified (or equivalent by experience) with a track record of high-quality analysis. You will enjoy using spreadsheets and other data analytical tools (such as Microsoft Excel, SPSS, Tableau, Qlick View, SAS, Oracle Endeca) to work out the best way to approach a task and present the data and findings, but above all you'll be keen to play an important role in supporting improvements in patients' experience of care.
