ANALYST - RDBMS, ORACLE SQL, PL/SQL, FRENCH, ENGLISH
For the European Commission we are looking for an Analyst with a minimum of 9 years of experience.
INTRODUCTION
The EuropeAid Development and Co-operation Directorate General has created the Common Relex Information System in which is integrated the European Development Fund (CRIS-FED) in order to do the follow up of all the projects it coordinates during their complete life cycle. CRIS-FED manages financial data (contracts, invoices, payments) and operational data (call for tenders, call for proposals, evaluations, framework contracts). CRIS-FED is tightly integrated with the Commission accounting system (ABAC) for all financial transactions. Apart from the Legacy systems, some new projects have been launched to cover processes no yet supported by any Information System.
In this context, we are looking for the services of an analyst who will assist in the analysis related to:
- Data base modelling and building
- Multi-tiers applications with the logic mainly deployed in the DBMS or in an Application Server
- Page server based applications
- Legacy Client Server applications.
The candidate will work in a team of 30 colleagues on the premises of the Commission.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follow all the IT software development process from the business modelling to the test RUP disciplines.
- Production of functional analysis (documents in English)
- Take part actively into various working groups
- Keep IS functional documentation (use cases) up to date
- Lead investigations to clarify requirements, feasibility and current system behavior.
- Analyse existing SQL and PL/SQL source code
- Participate in meetings with developers to explain the specifications
- Follow-up of change requests and bug reports related to his/her area of work
REQUIRED SKILLS
- In depth knowledge of development environments
- In depth knowledge of relational database systems
- Good knowledge of modelling Tools (UML)
- Fluency in French and English.
- Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings, ease of communication.
- Capability of integration in an international/multi-cultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in team working.
OPTIONAL SKILLS
- Knowledge of the CRIS application
- Knowledge of the ABAC application
- Knowledge of JIRA/GIT
