Analyst Programmer, Developer

Analyst Programmer, Developer, VB.NET, ASP.NET, HTML, XML, XSLT, SQL, SQL reporting, SSRS, Financial systems, Civica, ICON, Proactis, Infor Masterpiece.

We are currently recruiting on the behalf of a high profile local government client for an experienced VB.NET Analyst programmer with a knowledge of financial systems (including Civica, ICON, Proactis, Infor Masterpiece).

Applicants must be able to demonstrate previous proven capabilities in the following areas:

Assist in the development and documentation of standards, processes and procedures

SQL server 2005 and 2008

VB.NET, ASP.NET

web technologies, web services, HTML,XML, XSLT D

SQL Scripting, SQL reporting eg SSRS, Crystal Reports,

Knowledge of interfacing and file transfers between different systems

Knowledge of and working with change control processes

Knowledge of and working with support desk systems

Knowledge of supporting, maintaining and developing financial systems for example Civica ICON payment system, Proactis purchase to pay, Infor Masterpiece.

Responsibilities:

To specify, design, build, implement and support applications (particularly in relation to Systems Integration and Internet technologies) in line with the Councils strategy and requirements of the business.

Specify user and system requirements under supervision, including interfaces, menus, screen dialogues, inputs, reports, validation and error correction procedures, processing rules, access, security and audit controls, recovery routines and contingency procedures, so that these can be used by less experienced staff.

Produce and update outline systems specifications, logical system designs and detailed physical system.

Assist in the assessment and selection of software packages to meet the specified requirements

Design and code complex programs/procedures and program/procedure modifications from supplied specifications, using agreed standards and tools.

Construct test plans and execute program and system tests Review test results, and modify and repeat tests as necessary.
