Analyst/Programmer/Bioinformatics/Biochemistry for the Hague/Netherlan

WE ARE LOOKING FOR AN ANALYST PROGRAMMER WITH KNOWLEDGE IN BIOINFORMATICS/MOLECULAR BIOLOGY/BIOCHEMISTRY TO WORK AT OUR MULTINATIONAL CLIENT IN THE HAGUE/NETHERLANDS.

MAIN TASKS:

-

Feed existing sequence databases with patent biological related information from third parties.
-

Automate the provision of data to third parties.
-

Assist in providing content for E-learning modules related to biological sequence search algorithms (FASTA, BLAST, etc.).
-

Advise in the development of the platform for E-learning modules with respect to the developed products towards users, including web design
-

Provide content for help and documentation for biological sequence submission tools.
-

Testing the products in the production environment

PROFILE:

-

Knowledge in Bioinformatics/molecular biology/Biochemistry.
-

Outstanding knowledge in sequence search algorithms (Blast, Fasta, etc.) and sequence databases (EMBL, GenBank, Uniprot, etc)
-

Web based experience using MCV Frameworks
-

Good command of Java/J2EE, JavaScript, Struts, Spring, Eclipse
-

Good command of XML standards and XSLT.
-

Relational databases knowledge, preferably DB2.
-

Good writing skills
-

Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing.
-

A team-based approach and the ability to work in multi disciplinary surroundings.

Flexibility and analytical thinking

Ability to work in a multicultural environment

Knowledge of biology and biotechnology is an advantage

Working knowledge of English is mandatory. Knowledge of French and/or German would be an advantage
