Analyst II

Position: Analyst II
Type: Contract- 6 months

Our client is seeking an Analyst to lead the report and analysis of key business metrics for a large department, and help the team develop better/automated reporting systems. Candidates should be a self-starter, analytical, inquisitive with strong excel and analysis skills to take lead on weekly, monthly and quarterly data reports.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Report and help analyze business metrics: prepare the report of key business metrics to leadership on a monthly basis. (Re-)design the report to make it insightful and easy to read for executive audience. Review the metrics and trends with the different teams to provide business insights to leadership. Help redesign the Back End to take advantage of more automated systems as they roll out, and gather requirements to move to a fully automated report.
- Lead headcount tracking: Maintain/improve the semi-automated weekly report, working closely with different teams to spot and solve data issues. Assess and possibly lead transition to new headcount dashboard when available.
- Provide data cuts, analysis and deep dive into those metrics as needed for performance review, OKRs, executive presentations.

REQUIREMENTS:

- At least 1 year of experience reporting and analysing business performance metrics
- Experience with creating presentations with PowerPoint, to senior audience
- Advanced Microsoft Excel (vlookup, tables, macros)
- Analytical thinking, data-driven problem-solving capabilities
- Knowledge of databases and query languages (SQL) a plus
