Analyst, Group Data Warehouse Business Performance

This role arises from a new capability being developed by GOLD, the transformational programme delivering more effective and efficient use of the Group Data Warehouse (GDW).
The GDW Optimisation Workstream is creating a batch process that will enable business workloads to utilise the IT infrastructure. User code will need to be optimised, peer reviewed and productionised prior to implementation through the Multi Channels CAB.
A dedicated business route to live development environment is also being introduced. This role will be responsible for assessing access requests, provisioning permanent and spool space and monitoring queries for performance issues.

* Support in the implementation of business batch capability utilising Endevor and Tivoli Workload Scheduling applications.
* Support in monitoring of user queries submitted to live and route to live Teradata servers
* Support in identification and optimisation of regular user workloads
* Support in facilitation of access to business route to live server

This vacancy is a Fixed Term Contract until 31/12/2014.
