Overview

Working within part of the team in Birmingham that supports the Global Trade Services business across all asset classes which include Rates, Credit, Commodities, Equities and Foreign Exchange this role is to perform a number of key functions that support and control the business in complying with Dodd Frank and other regulatory requirements such as the European Markets Infrastructure Regulation. Key responsibilities of the team include assisting project remediation, user acceptance testing, compliance monitoring and general exception management.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Performing a variety of exception management functions across reporting of all asset classes.
- Project remediation tasks including participating in and hosting daily conference calls which include working groups and business updates globally.
- Working with our equivalent teams around the world to ensure global consistency in any system and/or process development.
- Working closely with our technology development teams to design system solutions, with the aim to automate as much of the exceptions process as possible.
- Drafting and amending project support documents such as business requirements documents, support operating models and test plans.
- Creating bespoke presentations and MIS packs for our Managing Directors and Chief Operating Officers ensuring they are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
- Producing cross asset management information.
- Acting as a central point of contact for internal and external clients.
- User acceptance testing for change request deployment.
- Developing good working relationships with internal and external clients.
- Training new team members.

You will have:

- Regulatory experience.
- The ability to solve complex problems and prioritise a variety of tasks.
- Clear and concise communication skills, the ability to recognise high risk situations and deal with them in a prompt manner.
- The ability to challenge existing procedures and proactively look for process and system improvements.
- The ability to learn and understand multiple areas of the business, existing knowledge of one or more product type is essential.
- Prior experience of working within Financial Services.
- The ability to work in a fast paced and high pressure environment.
