TEAM OVERVIEW

The European and UK Credit team manages around GBP9.1bn in assets across Euro, Sterling and Global Credit Strategies.

There are 7 specialist fund managers in the team who are supported by the global credit analysts. The team is looking to recruit an intern for 12 months to help with the day to day tasks involved in managing the funds.

OVERVIEW OF ROLE

Support of Fixed Income portfolio managers and analysts in maintenance of spreadsheets and preparation of investment reports

Support of portfolio managers in preparation of data needed for client presentations

Ad hoc research and analytical projects

Liaising with the IT team for systems changes

Preparing and attending various fund management meetings

After some training being part of the idea generation process

The aim is to hire a person that then potentially moves into a permanent role in the credit fund management team

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

Experience of MATLAB or equivalent

Attention to detail and accuracy

Strong Communicator

Diligent

Able to work well under pressure

SKILLS REQUIRED

Masters (or equivalent) in Economics, Finance or Sciences would be preferable

A passion for investing and markets

Strong mathematical and analytical skills

An interest in or already studying for CFA (or equivalent)

Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills

Sound understanding of Fixed Income investments
