Analyst Developer in Top Investment Bank

Analyst developer position for a professional Java programmer wishing to work in a prestigious investment bank within one of its technology teams.

The client is seeking enthusiastic developers with programming experience to join their company. There are currently a number of vacancies throughout the company: in Financial Control, Regulation, and Legal; as well as several vacancies in their front office teams.

You will be predominantly using Java - with a mixture of front and back end programming. Responsibilities will include gathering business and functional requirements, working closely with user groups and analysing technical and functional needs, designing and developing applications in Java, and supporting the existing system and product lines - as well as new applications.

You must therefore be an excellent developer with at least a year's programming experience in an OO language (e.g. Java/ C#/ C++). You will also need to be an excellent communicator - this is a business facing position.

You must be highly analytical, enthusiastic, motivated, and a team-player that is comfortable in a fast-paced work environment focussed on delivery.

You must have a 1st / 2:1 degree in an analytical subject (e.g. Computer Science, Maths, Engineering, Finance?).

A financial background is highly desirable for this position.
