Analyst Developer Position in Equity Derivatives The Bank Enjoy the possibility of working for one of the oldest and largest global investment bank's as an analyst developer that provides a wide range of services worldwide to a substantial and diversified client base. Equity Derivatives You will be working in the Equity Derivatives team which covers a multitude of business facing areas in the front office. This side of the business is client facing, and will allow you to take full ownership of projects using the most cutting-edge technologies and tools. You will also work closely with the quant teams to enhance and build out the global risk management systems. Your responsibilities This is a key role developing and supporting the front-office sales and trading systems. It will be a project driven role focussed largely on automation for the Exotics and Converts businesses. You will be working the full project lifecycle, and should also be happy working up to 30% support. You will be working with an array of technologies, project dependent, including Java, C#, and C++. It is fantastic for those who wish to work in a particularly interesting business area, and who wish to be given great responsibility with projects. You will have the opportunity to work on a range of projects, using different technologies, and learn about many areas of finance. Role Requirements Therefore you should be a highly analytical candidate, with the competency to pick up new programming languages and technologies on a regular basis. This should be demonstrated by around 3-6 years of experience working as a software developer, giving you excellent understanding of OO fundamentals. You should be able to show a full proficient of Java/C#/C++, and related technologies e.g. an RDBMS (Oracle/ Sybase/ DB2), Unix/Linux? You should also hold an outstanding academic record (2:1/1st) in a relevant degree e.g. Computing, Computer Science, Maths, Physics, Engineering? You will be liaising with the business regularly, and so should hold fantastic communication skills. You must be prepared to liaise with multiple business users - Traders, Quants, Strats?.and quickly come up with solutions to their frequently complex project requirements. Whilst prior financial experience is not a prerequisite for this position, it will be beneficial to your application. If you do not have previous experience working within finance, you should be able to demonstrate your aptitude to pick up business knowledge quickly, and a real enthusiasm for doing so!
