Analog/Mixed Signal IC Design Engineer

A world leader in their specialist area, my client develops high-precision, Analog and Mixed-Signal ICs. They currently has a new opportunity for a Analog Mixed Signal IC Design Engineer to join their design centre based in Buckinghamshire.

This role will involve bi-weekly travel to Germany for 2-3 days for development. The initial length of this contract is 6 months with the expectation the contract will last 2-3 years. There will be a rate review after the initial 6 months.

This is an opportunity for an Analog/Mixed Signal IC Design Engineer to be responsible for the eventual design of a complex high performance Analog IC for consumer applications.

The initial 3 months of this project will be spent being development by the client with the eventual aim being the input of the Analog/Mixed Signal IC Design Engineer into a safety assessment of an analogue automotive product.

In the design phase of this project the successful candidate will be participating in all aspects of the design, from concept to production silicon including: specification, architectural development, transistor-level design, SPICE, Matlab and Verilog (SystemVerilog, VerilogA, Verilog-AMS) modelling and simulation, layout supervision, post-layout simulation, chip-level verification, and lab validation.

The successful candidate must have proven Analog/Mixed Signal Design experience.

Good communication skills are essential along with strong attention to detail, creative thinking and the ability to work to variable time scales.
