AML Head of Policy and Deputy MLRO

Our client, a Global Banking Organisation, is currently looking to recruit an AML Head of Policy & Advisory and Deputy MLRO to join their Corporate Compliance division. The successful candidate will be responsible for the interpretation and deployment of Group AML Policy standards and all relevant external laws and regulations as well as MLRO responsibilities and accountabilities in the absence of the Head of AML.

Key Responsibilities:

- The delivery of the Division's annual risk based assessment of AML risks
- Build a framework to ensure a robust risk based approach to AML risk management is delivered across the Division
- The development and maintenance of, and the provision of advice related to, Divisional AML and Sanctions Standards and procedures
- Managing Divisional level case decision making activity
- Leadership of the Divisional Policy and Advisory team (7 people directly and indirectly),

Essential Experience required:

- Extensive experience in a senior AML role in a major Global Financial Services Firm
- Experience of acting as a Deputy MLRO in a major Financial Services Organisation
- Extensive knowledge and awareness of relevant AML legislation and regulation
- Experience of AML policy writing, advice and assurance
