AML/Financial Crime Analyst

My client a leading High Street Bank, are looking for a team of analysts to work within the Financial Crime risk area of the business. Reporting to the Head Risk Decisioning the team will be responsible for managing the approval of their highest risk customers; ensuring Group-wide consistency of decisions that reflect the level of AML, Sanctions and Bribery risk that attaches to the relationship.

Key responsibilities will include

*Manage the customer risk assessment strategy, including processes and methodologies for the management and approval of the highest risk customers in line with the Group's risk appetite.
*Receive case referrals from all parts of the Group in respect to the highest risk customers, including AML highest risk customers, Sanctions FRAAF referrals and high risk Anti Bribery Policy cases. Assess overall customer risk and determine measures necessary to maintain customers within appetite or exit as appropriate.
*Ensure that business procedures for the resultant management or exit of customers are followed through to adequately reflect conduct risk requirements and treat customers fairly.
*Work with the Head of Highest Risk Decisioning to maintain the Financial Crime Customer Risk Assessment Model to ensure it reflects the Group customer and product profiles and is calibrated to reflect Group risk appetite providing the correct level of direction to all business units on the level of due diligence required for any customer opening or maintaining an account with the Group.
*Support the Head of Highest Risk Decisioning in informing the criteria under which the Group determines those customers which are outside of Group appetite and should not be provided with financial services.
*Provide key input into financial crime projects and represent Financial Crime Risk as the SME on projects impacting on the Financial Crime Customer Risk Assessment Model.
*Deputise for the Head of Highest Risk Decisioning at relevant Group Risk committees and change projects as required.
*Liaise with the financial crime policy teams to input to financial crime strategy and policy.
*Develop and manage relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders to obtain/exchange information, influence behaviours and as appropriate respond to changes in the internal and external business and regulatory environment.
*Manage, motivate, develop and appraise own direct reports so that their individual and collective performance is of the required standard and meets the current and future needs of the business
*Manage the team's compliance with the Bank's procedures guidelines and reporting requirements as well as any relevant regulatory and statutory requirements
