AML Compliance Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Responsible to lead the AML/Sanctions compliance team and to support the program development of the AML department.
- Support in the design, development and implementation of the regulatory competence framework for the business ensuring changes are fully communicated and understood by all interested parties: review and amend applicable AML policies, procedures and processes.
- Support in formalise risk assessment and develop an internal control framework to mitigate the key risks.
- Ensure that compliance issues/concerns within the organization are being appropriately evaluated, investigated and resolved: performing thorough investigations of each exception and bringing possible violations of rules, regulations and procedures to the attention of management.
- Coordinate the team's review of client transactions that may violate anti-money laundering or economic sanctions laws and regulations. With regard to each transaction, decide whether to close without further investigation, to require additional research and review, or to escalate to the Head of Compliance & Regulation with a recommendation. Ensure that the investigation and final decision for each item is thoroughly documented and included in the weekly status report.
- Assist in resolve internal auditors queries related to their work performed in the department.
- Support the Learning and Development team with the preparation and delivery of the AML training in order to meet the requirements of regulatory.
