AML - Client Screening - KYC - Investigator - Berlin - Contract - 3 month initial - £600.00 per day

A leading, global Financial Group who excels at helping clients resolve critical issues, particularly those with a regulatory dimension are looking for circa 20 Investigators to work a 3 month initial contract in Berlin.

You will be working for a company with unparalleled regulatory experience and insight, who provide their clients with frank, proactive advice informed by best practices and regulatory expectations.

Description:

New and existing customers are regularly checked against embargo and other lists with negative information. The Client Screening team analyses and reviews potential hits that are automatically generated by client name screening system for all units. The Investigator carries out plausibility checks (eg name checks and exclusion of alleged potential results) following hits when escalated.

Responsibilities:

Investigates the alert presented for Sanctions, PEP, Adverse Media and determines if the client is a match or a false positive

Utilizes the Internet and various KYC internal systems in order to investigate the match

Responsible for the identification of PEPs (Politically Exposed Person) and their relatives in the client screening tool

Responsible for conducting research in the client screening tool and the Internet

Escalates the true matches for adverse media to the relevant escalation points

Requirements/Experiences:

Banking background or experience

Process knowledge in banking is a benefit

Competencies:

Basic AML knowledge

Integrity and Reliable

Ability to prioritize tasks

Analytical and investigative skills

Good MS Office knowledge

Languages:

Very good German knowledge

Fluent in English

Other languages are a favour
