Amazon AWS Architect

For our customer we are looking for a dotcom infrastructure architect.

The dotcom infrastructure architect is an integral part of the scrum team with the full responsibility of the technical stack behind the web site and related API:s and tools.

The customer's dotcom setup is technically advanced, and the web site serves global consumers at a very large scale. Quality requirements are high, especially on security, and the development team consists only of very experienced web developers. It is a small team and individual performance is a key factor.
The infra architect is responsible for keeping the full dotcom application and infrastructure stack under control basically. To his/her aid there is an off-shore AM team helping out with deployments and repetitive tasks, and then of course the rest of the development team.
The current infrastructure architect will be leaving shortly. It is a replacement we are looking for, and handover is therefore part of the initial scope.

Tasks (at least, but not limited to):
- Be part of the scrum team developing the customers website
- Control the infrastructure (documentation, logs, monitoring, users/access control, patching etc) security is a key area as well as overall quality
- Continuously develop the platform, provide improvement suggestions and implement them
- Drive key operational scenarios (security incidents or other anomalies picked up by monitoring or other input is the most common case)
- Coordinate the release process with the off shore AM team, both on code deployments and platform upgrades

Competence
The role is free with a lot of responsibility. The key characteristics expected are strong quality focus combined with a clear and proven a oedoera -mentality.
The technical stack in scope on a core component level consists of Amazon AWS (various services used within the AWS stack), PHP, nGinx, Wordpress, MySQL, Jenkins and Linux. Code is managed on GIT, and administration of GIT is in scope as well.
Proven experience of each component, as well as previous experience working with public web technology is a must.

- Experience of public web sites and related technology is a must
- Experience of GIT administration is a plus
- Experience of Jenkins is a plus
- Word press (administration and Back End) experience is a plus
- Must be thorough and quality conscious
- Must respect security as a key area and will not leave things to chance
