Position Purpose:
Execute allocations of Promotional, Seasonal and/or New Item merchandise on a timely basis to ensure a high level of customer service across 19 Distribution Centers and 7200+ stores. Interact on a daily basis with Distribution Center contacts, Logistics Planning, Store and DC Planners, and Expeditors.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Allocate promotional and seasonal product (1, 000, 000 promotional skus, 96, 000 seasonal skus) from 19 distribution centers on a timely basis according to event schedules.
Follow checklists to ensure all steps in the process are accomplished.
Review and adjust store orders higher or lower based on availability of product using experience and judgment. Consideration is given especially for non-regularly carried product that must be represented in all stores.
Achieve their ISQ promotional "in store" goals of 99.80% and seasonal "in store" goals of 92.9%.
Process requests for last minute changes quickly and accurately, for example, changes to items and dates to process allocations. (Sources: Distribution Centers, Seasonal Planning, Store Planners).
Serve as the principle contact person to/from warehouse personnel for all activities related to the flow of merchandise.
Channel requests and information to the appropriate person.
Receive telephone calls directly from Store and DC Planners, and Category Managers.
Research and resolve issues; provide resolution as soon as possible.
Verify remaining balance on hand following allocation of event merchandise; verify inventory reports; research discrepancies with the Distribution Centers following established guidelines.
Allocate open stock and display residual product according to defined parameters for process and timeframe.
Evaluate and critique information provided from other departments for any unusual circumstances that may result in errors if not questioned.
Identify, resolve, and communicate issues that occur outside of normal procedures.
Maintain 5A/5B (planogram) New Item tracking document with billing and activation dates.
Ensure new items are slotted in each DC prior to billing.
Responsible for billing approximately 40, 000 new item skus annually and are held accountable to achieve the new item "in store by the planogram" goal of 94%.
Receive and analyze error reports on a daily basis. Identify the source of the error; recommend appropriate solution, review with supervisor, and implement.
Communicate to necessary individuals or departments.
Identify and document opportunities for system and process improvements; make recommendations to Allocation Supervisor.

Skills and Experience:
3-5 years clerical experience involving the use of judgment and strong organizational and problem solving skills.
Previous data entry experience, with focus on Mainframe systems and Word. Knowledge of Excel and Access preferred.
Ability to continuously prioritize workload with minimal direction.
Ability to work successfully within a team environment.
Proven ability to continuously apply concentrated attention, while juggling priorities on multiple tasks within specified timeframes.
Proven ability to maintain composure and focus on the job in a highly intense work environment demanding flexibility and sense of urgency in completing required problem resolution, tasks, and projects.
Proven ability to communicate clearly, effectively and tactfully (verbal and written).
Proven ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in analysing and processing information.
Proven ability to handle information of a confidential nature, such as store closing dates, promotional dates, special pricing, etc.

Position Summary
The Inventory Analyst will act as the key liaison between the Store Brand Team, Inventory Management and the supplier community to further drive down Store Brand out of stocks, achieving a DC in-stock service level of 98%.

Duties
Ensure suppliers have 13 week rolling forecasts, promo forecasts and seasonal builds should they be applicable. Have an understanding of supplier's on hand quantity to ensure they can meet our demands. Have an understanding of suppliers lead times to meet product demands. Analyze seasonal trends to ensure the appropriate quantities needed are communicated to the supplier in a timely fashion. Perform post ad analysis to understand the forecast vs. actual and look for trends to help drive more accurate future forecasts. Have key insight into National Brand activity that make in turn affect SB inventory demands. Work closely with the SB and inventory team to identify potential risks. Work Closely with Category Management to understand Planogram changes or changes to business strategies that may have an effect on Store Brand Vendors or Products. Conduct monthly production calls with vendors to insure our forecasted needs are met. Create Action plans and follow-ups from meetings. Track Store Brand New Items and report on specific metrics.

Experience
1-3 years Retail experience, preferably in inventory management. Bachelors Degree in Business Management or similar field required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Access. Must have strong analytical skills. Must be able to communicate with all levels of the organization.
