Airworthiness Project Engineer

AIRWORTHINESS PROJECT ENGINEER - ABBEYWOOD, BRISTOL. - AIRCRAFT, SC, AIRWORTHINESS, ENGINEERING, AIR SAFETY, HAZARD LOGS, SAFETY ASSESSMENTS

This position is a 5 month contract (with potential extension) based in Abbeywood, Bristol. Ideally this candidate will have a current SC clearance, however candidates who are eligible for clearance are welcome to apply.

My defence client is offering a rate of £300.00-£400.00 per day.

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE PROJECT ENGINEER:

- Aeronautical based engineering degree
- Aircraft engineering experience
- Good understanding of air safety and aircraft airworthiness requirements
- Experience of safety assessments (safety cases) and managing hazard logs
- Good knowledge of both military and civil air regulations
- Previous military air engineering experience
- Working knowledge of eCassandra, Adelard (ASCE) and MS Access

MAIN TASKS AND DELIVERABLES:

- Maintenance of the hazard logs for Avenger and King Air platforms in eCassandra.
- Maintenance of the safety assessments for Avenger and King Air platforms hosted in Adelard
- Maintenance of the RTS audit trail using ADCT (Access database)
- Provide routine inputs to 'Assert' for the King Air/Avenger platforms
- Producing or reviewing safety assess for platform configuration changes and RTS recommendations
- Support development of embryonic safety assessments for the FFW platforms
- Team lead for safety, environment and quality issues.

This position is to be based in Bristol, which is commutable from Swindon, Chepstow, Warminster, Weston-Super-Mare and Gloucester.
