Airworthiness Engineer

The candidate will be required to support the Airborne Equipment (AE) Airworthiness review as directed by the Project Manager.

The prime tasks will be to

- Assist in the development of an airworthiness strategy
- Develop the quality management system for the AE Team.
- Review airworthiness documents and identify deficiencies and solutions

The role with involve working with a team of safety and airworthiness personnel and will require interface with the client as well as other consultancy staff.  

They will need to manage the packages of work to agreed budgets and timelines. The work will be based at Cambridge, although there is scope for working off site if the work allows. The role will also require occasional visits to Wiltshire as needed.

Experience Required:
Military airworthiness and MAA regulations

Experience of MoD systems such as ASIMS.

Appreciation of Airborne Delivery Equipment and Airborne Forces.

Maintaining continued airworthiness

Understanding of the MOD AOF

Familiarity and understanding of MoD continued airworthiness requirements; MAA regulation; fault reporting procedures and corrective action; knowledge of technical publications processes and amendment procedures

Applicable military aircraft aviation standards such as DS 00-970

MoD safety processes such as POSMS and the relationship between safety processes and the aircraft life cycle.

Ideally hold a current security clearance.
