Aircraft Structure Stress Engineer

AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE STRESS ENGINEER- STATIC STRESSING ANALYSIS EXPERIENCE

A Aircraft Structure Stress Engineer with static stressing analysis experience is required to work on a nine month contract (with the possibility of extension) for our Defence client based in Lancashire.

This is a 9 month contract working for a leading defence company.

OVERVIEW OF THE AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE STRESS ENGINEER CONTRACT ROLE

Our defence client in Samlesbury requires a Stress Engineer with specialist knowledge and at least 10 years experience in the stress analysis of both metallic and CFC composite aircraft structures including a working knowledge of Nastran/Patran FEM analysis toolsets and word/data processing toolsets (ie MS Word and Excel) to produce static stress calculations and reports in support of providing structural approval of non-conformances and other issues arising from defence aircraft production.

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE STRESS ENGINEER

- Knowledge of Nastran/Patran FEM analysis
- Previous experience with stress engineering on aircraft
- Previous experience of providing engineering support to aircraft production is essential.

The role is based in Lancashire - commutable from Preston, Blackpool, Chorley, Leyland, Blackburn, Darwen, Burnley, Skipton, Stockport, Manchester, Warrington, Wigan, Bolton, Bury, Rochdale and Oldham with excellent access from Liverpool, Lancaster and Leeds
