Job Title: 1 Year Fixed Term Air Traffic Control Assistant

Location: Scatsta Airport, Brae

Salary: up to £19,034

Hours: 40 hours per week - may include weekends

Scatsta Airport is a commercial airport on Shetland in Scotland.

The Primary role of the air traffic assistant is to assist the duty air traffic control officer. The nature of this work requires the post holder to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all departments within the Airport, with the Customer and/or Customer Representative; with external agencies, specifically regulatory bodies such as the CAA and DfT and with other relevant stakeholders.

Duties:

- Opening checks including runway surface and lighting inspection
- Obtaining weather observations and passing to relevant parties
- Prepare Flight strips for flying program
- Prepare stats
- General admin functions
- Documentation control
- Any other duties as required

Skills and Attributes:

- MET observations certificate desirable
- Good decision making
- Team work essential
- Must be able to take instruction
- Driving licence essential
