Whitehall resources are currently recruiting for an Agile Digital Lead for our client in Switzerland.
Start Date: 09/10/2017
End Date: 07/07/2018
Location: Zürich + global travel (30%)
Language requirement: Fluent Business English
Job description:
- To lead a Digital transformation in operations and teams across the Client Network.
- As a leader of a new group within the Agile program, your main responsibilities are to put in place from the concept the Digital factory of the future relating to "Industry 4.0" with cutting edge technologies (eg IIoT, Machine Learning, Advanced robotics, Augmented Reality), to build an approach business driven, evaluate business benefits, to pilot and to drive the implementation across the business units of the group.
What You'll Do
- As an Agile digital Lead, you will lead and organize a new group under Agile program. The main objective is to improve end-to-end operations, from product development to manufacturing and across supply chain.
- You will be part of an international network, developing world-class knowledge throughout the digital manufacturing space. In addition, you will develop a governance to execute the strategies and technology road maps leveraging digital.
- In this position, you will advise senior individuals at the organizations on driving transformational change regarding digital manufacturing theory and processes.
The role: This role is strategic, executing and driving at the same time.
- Drive overall digital initiatives for different plants (globally)
- Understand digital possibilities and evaluate, conduct and execute them.
- Put digital possibilities in a roadmap.
- 3-5 deliverables: first delivery of digital pilot, then detailed execution of roadmap, overall keep complete landscape picture (23 sites); knowing where to focus, identify digital talent
Key responsibilities
- Develop, with a team of experts from the Client's Digital factory, including the design of the Digital Manufacturing flows, the identification/assessment of the Digital technologies and the creation of the Ecosystem to build solutions
- Evaluate the new Digital factory design in terms of ROI and impact on the Client Operations
- Drive the piloting of the new Digital manufacturing concepts in selected area
- Animate and create the environment for welcoming new technical subject matter expert for Digital technologies in Manufacturing and Supply chain, and continuously explore future trends in this area (eg Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain ) in collaboration with GMS innovation
- Support the Digital transformation in Agile program, in building an ecosystem of external partners with suppliers, start-ups and academia
Key deliverables
- Deliver Big Data pilots in 3 manufacturing sites based globally
- Review the digital initiatives already in progress across the manufacturing and supply network (23 sites globally) and advise on where the short and medium term focus should be
- Following on from the review and the pilot, develop a detailed scale-up and delivery execution roadmap for digital in the Client Manufacturing and Supply network
- Provide an overview of where digital talent exists in the organization and what is required to enhance the available talent to deliver the roadmap
Requirement:
- Experience of implementing Digital projects
- It is important that the person understands digital and is curious and willing to apply their knowledge in the manufacturing and supply environment.
- Strong Project Management Skills
- Hands-on, able to implement and execute initiatives. Not a PMO person, with just a focus on reporting and follow-up
- Ability to achieve tangible results and business impact
- Ability to interface with multiple (and diverse) stakeholders
Education and experience
- Senior project management experience in an international environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Exposure to Digital technologies application, to be hands on in some case
- Capabilities to translate business needs into technical concept and the other way
- Ability to learn fast and courage to explore unknown technical areas
- Fluent spoken & written in English
