Agile Coach/Scrum Master - Long Term Contract - Financial Services

AGILE COACH/SCRUM MASTER - CBD LOCATION - $900 -$1100 PER DAY - 6 MONTH CONTRACT (S20)

Our client is major Financial Services & Banking organisation and there us an immediate opportunity for  AGILE COACH/SCRUM MASTER  with strong delivery backgrounds, seasoned facilitation skills, and experienced in helping teams and organisations transition to an Agile environment (both process and technical practices).

You will be responsible for facilitating teams transitioning from a traditional development and project management approach to development through a complete Agile project life cycle.

Your role will be to:

- Coach, facilitate and drive inception and release planning workshops
- Participate as an Embedded member of the team to be the change agent and facilitate and train Agile practices Assess and identify gaps in knowledge and understanding of how Agile works and lead the teams through training and enablement sessions.
- Identify and manage interactive dependencies within a complex systems environment, process improvements to improve both immediate and long-term productivity using Agile practices and tools,mitigate impediments and risks to the program
- Proactively resolve conflict between people, teams, and organizations Work closely with Project Managers to ensure the timely execution of the customer's objectives Foster better communication between the disciplines.
- Act as the project manager when necessary.
- Take responsibility for managing dependencies between your team and other project teams.
- Facilitate an environment of team spirit and excitement around constructive changes Maintain relevant metrics that help the team see how they are doing Coach and mentor Iteration Managers, Product Owners & Project Managers Act as an Agile champion and contribute to expanding the understanding and practice of agile principles and values throughout the entire organization

Required Skills:

- 7+ YEARS PROJECT MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE
- 5+ YEARS AGILE DELIVERY EXPERIENCE OF A HANDS-ON AND PRACTICAL NATURE.
- PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE WITH HELPING ORGANIZATIONS TRANSITION TO AGILE PRACTICES AND VALUES
- EXPERT KNOWLEDGE OF AGILE PRINCIPLES AND PRACTICES, WITH THE ABILITY TO TRANSFER THAT UNDERSTANDING AT ALL LEVELS OF THE ORGANIZATION.
- Consulting and facilitation skills in leading technical teams in the adoption and improvement of agile methodologies.
- Excellent training and presentation skills.
- Skilled in leading meetings, driving decisions, and negotiating win/win solutions.
- A willingness to provide instruction and mentoring.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

Coaching, training or consulting skills and experience a plus.
Experience with diverse software technologies a plus.
Financial services experiences a plus.
Experience leading organizational change management a plus

RATES ARE BASED ON EXPERIENCE RANGING FROM $900 - $1100 PER DAY. THE CONTRACT IS AN INITIAL 6 MONTH CONTRACT WITH A VIEW TO EXTEND.
