JOB OVERVIEW:

Yoh is seeking an Agile Business Systems Analyst (Agile BSA) to serve as a strategic partner between business clients and technical development staff. This person will be responsible for partnering with the business in analysis of process and information needs to clearly identify and document project requirements for technology solutions. Focus of the role is to build and maintain strong customer relationships, serving as the primary contact-point for the business to engage IT for solution analysis services. The Agile BSA will also participate in the creation of analysis and requirements definition standards for the organization within an Agile Scrum environment.

The Business Analyst (Agile), works as part of an agile/scrum software development organization to collaborate on, design and document successful solutions for applications that support business goals and user needs. The Business Analyst works closely with the support of a Product Owner and User Experience Designer to elicit, analyze, validate, specify, verify and manage business needs as requirements.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Partner with product owners to understand the vision and business value for the feature or project. Facilitate planning sessions to develop and maintain the feature or product roadmap.
- Establish the product backlog and work with the product owners to ensure feature-level user stories are prioritized and accurately reflect customer and business priorities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams comprised of product management, User Experience Designers, Developers, Testers, and other subject matter experts to gather and analyze information needs and functionality requirements, dependencies and impacts, and facilitate user story development.
- Regularly groom the product backlog by adding, prioritizing, and/or removing user stories to maintain alignment to the product/project vision and roadmap.
- Facilitate the development team in the grooming of user stories.
- Ensure delivery of artifacts as agreed to by the team. This will include detailed requirements, and any diagrams that the team needs to understand the requirements such as business process diagrams, sequence diagrams or data flow diagrams.
- Participate in daily scrum meetings and take the initiative to prepare for and organize other necessary meetings and agile ceremonies such as Sprint Planning.
- Answer ad hoc questions and provide clarification/direction to development, QA and other stakeholders regarding user stories and functions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of the scrum team, agile processes and proactively support knowledge-sharing within the project team and the Business Analyst community

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
- At least five (5) years combined technical and business analytical experience
- At least two (2) years of Agile Scrum experience
- Experience and expertise in an Agile Methodology (Extreme Programming; Scrum; Feature Driven Development; Kanban, etc.)
