AFIS CONSULTANT - BRUSSELS - UPTO €400 PD
In the context of the AFIS Framework and Portal applications that manage electronic documents and their secure exchange between competent authorities in the EU Institutions and EU Member States, International Organisations and other partners external to the EU:
NATURE OF THE TASKS
- In the context of the AFIS Framework and Portal applications that manage electronic documents and their secure exchange between competent authorities in the EU Institutions and EU Member States, International Organisations and other partners external to the EU:
The consultant will perform the following tasks:
- Architecture and design of AFIS modules
- Review the architecture of existing AFIS modules
- Design and development of component architecture and building blocks for AFIS
- Develop Tableau reports
- Integrate Tableau reports into the different applications
- Analysis of the integration of different AFIS modules and between AFIS and other external information systems, for the review and approval by the responsible business officials
- Data analysis and modelling
- Act, under the management of a business official, as technical interface between the project leaders and the AFIS development team
- Participate in technical working groups, progress meetings and meetings with AFIS' users
- Assist in the testing, technical documentation, deployment evaluation and reporting for AFIS
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- In-depth knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture
- In depth knowledge of applications design
- In depth knowledge of modelling tools
- Good knowledge of Object Oriented Programming languages
- Good knowledge of Tableau reporting
- Good knowledge of Enterprise Architecture
- Good knowledge of Relational DBMS and no SQL DB, and their integration with Tableau
- Good knowledge of business process analysis
- Knowledge of interoperability technology (eg web services, message oriented Middleware, service oriented bus)
- Good redaction skills
- Ability to give technical presentations
- Ability to apply high quality standards
- Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in application architecture and design
- Excellent working knowledge of English (both spoken and written) and ease of communication is mandatory
- Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in working in team.
SPECIFIC EXPERTISE
- Practical experience as consultant involved in the definition or development of a multinational IT system
- Highly experienced in JEE and agile software development methodologies (Scrum)
- Experienced in Enterprise Architect, Jenkins and WebLogic 12, LDAP and Oracle
- Experienced in Tableau server/reports
- Experienced in Mongo DB and Elastic search and their integration with Tableau (nice to have)
