JOB TITLE: TECHNICAL AUTHOR - WEST SUSSEX - 6 MONTHS

Our client based in West Sussex is looking for two Technical Authors to support a spike in workload. You will have experience with Boeing 787 or series and Airbus documentation.

The work will be within Toolbox or assisting with the Airbus documentation within the tool.

MUST HAVE
- Scotland Disclosure (Standard) Application Pass/Cert
- SGML Authoring Skill set (or XML) to ATA, S1000D and iSpec 2200
- Word Authoring Skill set to ATA, S1000D and iSpec 2200
- Energetic and a good team player
- Ability to Illustrate within IsoDraw/CoralDraw
- Knowledge of the Boeing Toolbox Suite
- Ability to be flexible and work to tight deadlines and milestones
- Knowledge of Authoring the IPC (or IPDs), AMM, WM and CMM aircraft technical documentation.

NICE TO HAVE
- A My Boeing Fleet Account holder or existing.
- Knowledge of ADOC Web (Airbus SGML Authoring Tool)
- Knowledge of
- IT literate.

There would be a 3-4 week period where the applicants will be brought up to speed very quickly by members of the current team. The work involved is Entry In To Service (EIS) mods for the B787. These mods are driven by a Technical Manual Amendment (TMA) and are supplied as work packs. To date, there are approx. 60-70 EIS TMAs complete prior to EIS of the first aeroplane, ie September 2014.

The applicant will be given a small mod to start with and for our client to assess and evaluate. Building from this will be a more structured work flow process and on line training will be given at all times.
