Aerospace Engineer

Our client is seeking to hire an engineer with demonstrated knowledge and significant experience with the structural analysis of sensor and communications payloads. The payloads include space based, airborne and ground based payloads. The position is located in the Boston MA area and is a long term (1-3 year) contract opportunity.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Perform structural analysis of advanced sensor and communication payloads. This will include both sensor heads and the associated electronics.
- Experience with aircraft modification to support sensor turrets in the air stream.

REQUIREMENTS

- BS in Mechanical Engineering or related fields plus at least 7 years experience, preferably in structural analysis.
- U.S. Citezenship.
- Secret clearance or the ability to obtain it.
- Significant experience developing and using NASTRAN models for both static and dynamic calculations.
- Significant experience with modal testing.
- Experience with shock analysis and testing is highly desireable.
- Experience with packaging both electronics and optics for space, airborne and surface applications is also highly desireable.
