Aerospace Contract Quality Engineer

Progressive Engineering is currently working with a large aerospace company based in the Lincolnshire area. We are currently interested in speaking to Quality Engineer's who have experience within the aerospace industry. As an experienced Quality Engineer you will have hands on measuring experience with a good working knowledge of SPC, PPAP, Gage and R&R. You should also be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of AS9100 and AS9102.The role will have a an equal split between customer and supplier liaison, so the ideal candidate will need to be confident and experienced in stakeholder management. Essential Skills/Qualifications Will have worked in the aerospace industry and be familiar with ISO9001 and AS9100 requirements Proven experience conducting quality audits and supporting customer and third party certification audits Experience in First Article Inspection requirements, including measurement utilising hand equipment and cmm Good understanding of precision machining and processes, drawing practices, calibration, certification standards, metrology Gauge R&R and SPC experience Understanding of quality management tools (eg. 6 sigma, Pareto, Kaizen, 5Ys, 8Ds etc) Responsibilities: To provide Quality Engineering support to the Project introduction and on-going support until production has stabilised. To ensure working procedures are fully compliant with all relevant customer and certification standard requirements To interface with the customer quality function and provide any necessary audit response To troubleshoot quality issues, carry out root cause analysis and help implement appropriate corrective measures To support First Article Inspection activities To process concessions and ensure that these are formally closed out To carry out internal audits and ensure processes remain compliant.
