Advisor - Drilling Engineering

This position will report directly to the Associate Vice President,Operations Drilling Manager and is responsible for providing engineering technical leadership and expertise for well planning and performance monitoring:
* Design and engineer wells
* Manage cost estimation and cost control activities
* Develop and maintain engineering systems and processes
* Measure, monitor, and benchmark drilling performance
* Identify and implement technical initiatives to optimize drilling and completion
* Mentor staff drilling engineers

Candidate Requirements include:
* Technical expertise of oil and gas drilling operations
* Project management experience, especially in cost planning and performance measurement
* Demonstrates strong commitment to maximize utilization and revenue, and control expenses.
* Advanced safety, well control, and risk management knowledge
* Outstanding Horizontal Drilling Skills
* Strong contract administration skills
* Outstanding collaborative abilities
* Excellent verbal and written communications skills
* Initiative and independent thinking

Desired Qualifications are:
* Bachelors degree in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent technical degree
* 20+ years applicable experience
