Advanced Developer (LAMP Stack - Drupal)

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for development, deployment, and support of templates, scripts and other processes that produce content for DRUPAL CMS WEB SITES and related integrations (ads, analytics, web media) for HLNtv.com, CNN International and other Turner businesses.

ACTIVITIES INCLUDE:

- Developing and maintaining products and systems to deliver content to the Internet with specific attention to availability, performance/capacity planning, and architecture design and implementation.
- Developing domestic and international distribution systems for Web content employing a tiered network distribution system.
- Developing and maintaining operational control and management systems to support Internet operations.

These systems include:

Alarms, alerts, and triage; infrastructure and content change control; and load management.

Hands on technical work in support of implementation and troubleshooting of web production facilities.

QUALIFICATIONS: SKILLS IMPORTANT TO SUCCESS:

- Advanced HTML, JavaScript, AJAX, CSS, Flash, XML, XSLT, PERL, Java, JSP, UNIX Shell Scripting and a strong foundation in enterprise level Internet technologies.
- ADVANCED DRUPAL OR COMPARABLE CONTENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, LAMP STACK KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS.
- Knowledge of Databases and data/content migration techniques.
- College degree or equivalent experience required.
- AT LEAST THREE TO FIVE YEARS OF PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE BUILDING WEB SITES IS REQUIRED.
- Experience with a large-scale web site is a plus.
- Candidates must provide samples of work. WYSIWYG editors are not used.
- Candidate must show an aptitude for detail. They should display leadership skills such as taking proper responsibility, pursuing solutions to problem, displaying resourcefulness towards accomplishing given task or goals.
- They must exhibit an ability to focus on mundane functions of their job, as well as being self-motivated to learn new skills in order to accomplish new tasks.
