Overview of Role:
Manage a discrete service as part of Adult Social Care ensuring statutory requirements relating to Adults are delivered effectively. Lead on the management of change process and contribute to the implementation of Corporate and departmental policies and procedures as required. Work as part of the Departmental Management Team for Adult Social Care to deliver the corporate plan, business plan and statutory requirements.

Skills/Experience Required;
1. Degree level or equivalent in Social Work eg BSw, CQSW, DipSW
2. Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council
3. Knowledge of the legislative requirements placed on Services for Adults
4. Knowledge of the existing & upcoming legislation pertaining to area of operation
5. Understanding of how changes in the economic, political, social and organisational climate can impact on the organisation
6. Experience of working as a Social Work Practitioner and as a first line manager
7. Experience of effectively managing budgets
8. Experience of setting and achieving organisational performance and standards
9. Experience of interpreting and analysing complex financial and performance management information in order to contribute and influence the reconfiguration of service
