Adult Services Development Manager (Care Act)

Practicus are currently working in Partnership with a local authority to support their change agenda in accordance with the Care Act.

This role will sit in the L&D and Transformation team and will support the Adult Services directorate. The main aim of the role is to review the proposed changes in accordance with the authorities Care Act proposals.

This person will be responsible for identifying skill gaps, upskilling the current Adult Services team so they are fully aware of the changes arising from the care act proposal. This person will identify training needs and will be responsible for generating a mandatory training schedule.

You will need to work very closely with Social Workers, Team Leaders and the Management team, within this role and therefore need to be credible in a Social Care environment. You will be performing case work analysis to identify ways that the council can improve the way in which cases are both assessed and reported and as such you will need in depth knowledge of the Care Act and Adult Social Care provision.

There is the possibility this role could extend beyond the 3 month period in which case the next phase of the project will be to implement the proposed training mandates.
