Adoption Assessor/Social Worker

Family Adoption Consultants is a full service adoption agency offering birth parent counseling as well as a full continuum of services to families adopting both domestically and internationally.

We are seeking candidates for contractual adoption assessor/social worker in Columbus and the surrounding areas.  Candidates must be able to work independently; excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.  Contractual social workers are responsible for assessing families' suitability for adoption and foster care.  Duties will include completion of homestudies, providing post adoption services to children and families, client training and the possibility of engaging in counseling services with birth mothers.  

Candidates must possess a minimum of 2 years experience in adoption or child placement.  LSW or LISW and Adoption Assessor certification is required.   Qualified applicants must also have a valid driver's license, valid insurance and have the ability to pass a background check.  Some travel required.
