PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The Learning Service Centre (LSC) has established itself as the centre of excellence within the provision of the logistical and operational support for training events. The LSC consists of 88 FTE and is based in both Bedfont Lakes (60) and Houston (28). Working in liaison with colleagues in other LSC teams, it is responsible for all aspects of the administration and 'silent' end-to-end delivery of the 2,500 sessions which the LSC delivers globally.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE

The LSC Commercial Services Coordinator is based in Bedfont Lakes/Houston and is responsible for the day to day administration of the processes delivered by the LSC Finance Service line. The Commercial Services Coordinator will ensure that work is performed to the required standards and within agreed timeframes. They will need to establish positive and collaborative relationships with the LSC Logistics team who manage the relationship with IP and who contract in the goods and services whose costs the Commercial Services team track and report upon

- Supervised day-to-day by an LSC Commercial Services Lead, responsible for the provision of high quality finance administrative support for a portfolio academiesaccruals, processing actuals, coding, tracking and financial reporting.
- Accountable for assuring the absolute integrity of the financial data held on the GLOBE workflow system in support of financial & budgetary activity over a defined set of academiesensuring that the charges are accurate and appropriate checks & sign offs are in place prior to payment. Recording actual spend in the GLOBE workflow system as appropriate.
- Reconcile invoicing and orders and prepare chargeback documentation to required standards and within defined timescales. Complete 'standard' monthly and quarterly reporting as required, ensuring they are completed to a high degree of accuracy and detail and within specified timelines. Similarly prepare and submit accruals and forecast promptly and as required.
- Day to day management of currency issues/conversations and associated reconciliations.
- Establish collaborative and fruitful day to day relationships with colleagues in Finance & Indirect Procurement in support of compliance and good practice. Establish and maintain solid partnership working with opposite numbers working within external vendors, ensuring that you work collaboratively in support of our mutual 'silent running'.
- Participation in relevant focused project work, contributing to the 'Continuous Improvement' of financial processes, tools and systems.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & EXPERTISE

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

- Undergraduate (bachelor) degree level qualification (or relevant experience)
- Experience in working in Finance focussed work environment. (1+ years)
- Experience of working with MS Excel (+1 years) High-end Beginner level.

FINANCE & ACCOUNTING: (2+ YEARS)

- Understands & applies financial systems, tools, procedures and practices to daily work.
- Explains basic financial accounting concepts & reporting requirements.
- Understanding of concepts behind financial analysis & implications of finance data.
- Awareness & use of budgeting and charge-back practices.
- Ability to supply coherent and well supported information & justification for major budgetary line items.
- Understands & implements financial practices, requirements & budgetary considerations.
- Awareness of the wider competitive environment in which team is operating. Understands the
