- To report to the team leader of the drive train group as part of the integrated project team.
- To elaborate according to the planning and quality standards the deliverables of the product development design process: specifications, design reports, calculation reports, validation plans, manufacturing process control plans, etc.
- To coordinate and collaborate with wind turbine manufacturing, installation and service engineering groups and to support quality and purchasing departments.
- Specification of pitch and yaw actuation systems for offshore wind turbines.
- Development of pitch and yaw actuation systems for offshore wind turbines in cooperation with suppliers.
- Identification of potential improvements and development of cost effective and innovative technical solutions.
- Analysis and assessment of the design, reliability and quality of the supplied products.
- Participation in the design verification, testing, validation and certification of pitch and yaw actuation systems for offshore wind turbines.
- Compilation and elaboration of risk assessments, FMEAs, tests and validation plans.
- Design of parts and assemblies with 3D (Catia V5 and / or Inventor).

Anforderungen

- University degree in mechanical Engineering or related qualification
- Several years of experience in development of wind turbine pitch and yaw actuation systems.
- Comprehensive knowledge of engineering mechanics, hydraulics and electric systems.
- Proficiency in hydraulic systems: conceptual design, selection of physical solutions and validation of full complex systems.
- Knowledge of risk assessment, FMEA, testing and validation strategies.
- Experience in analytical and computational calculation of pitch and yaw actuation systems elements.
- Experience in 3D-CAD (Catia V5 and / or Inventor)
- Willing to work very closely to the team members (design, loads, etc.) and the rest of components specialists.
- Capacity for collaboration with suppliers and industry partners to meet the design to cost targets.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced team environment and to collaborate effectively.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Good command of English (written and spoken). German and Spanish are welcome.
