AP DE YIELDSTAR ACTUATION DESIGN ENGINEER

INTRODUCTION

Within de fast growing business line Applications, the Yieldstar Mechatronics group is responsible for all mechatronic modules within the Yieldstar metrology tool. This covers the fast handling and accurate positioning of the wafer, aswell as the positioning of optical modules within the Yieldstar sensor.

JOB MISSION

Due to increasing demands of customers on accuracy and throughput there is a continuous challenge on improving the mechatronic modules on speed, dynamic performance and reliability. Together with the mechanical, electrical and software departments mechatronic modules are being developed and improved. During these developments performance requirements have to be balanced with costs, manufacturability and serviceability.

JOB DESCRIPTION

- Working in multidisciplinary project teams, aimed at realizing the actuation function in latest metrology tools
- Modeling and simulation of actuators, and/or actuator systems, delivering multiple degrees of freedom
- Modeling effects of electromagnetic crosstalk
- Specifiy solutions towards mono-disciplinary departments
- Define the technical approach for integration and test execution of actuator systems and -components

EDUCATION

MSc or PhD in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering

EXPERIENCE

- Several years of experience in high tech product development
- Theoretical and/or practical experience with electromagnetic actuator design
- Extensive experience with electromagnetic FEA tools (ie Opera)
- Affinity with control engineering and power electronics
