Actuary - Solvency II

Projektbeschreibung

My client, a prestigious and well known Insurance business based in London are currently looking to recruit a Actuary to sit within the Actuarial workstream of a large and complex Solvency II programme. The Actuary will need to be part qualified or an Actuarial student but will be required to have previous Solvency II experience. The Actuary will be required to help meet Pillar 3 requirements.

The role will hold some of the following ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Apply methodologies and procedures to assess the technical provisions and to ensure that their calculation is consistent with the requirements set out in the Solvency II Directive

Develop the associated data quality processes, methods, estimates and ratification of outputs for the:

Technical Provisions Estimation Process

The Standard Formula - Undertaking Specific Parameter estimation process and application to the PRA.

The Pillar 3 Actuarial reporting processes, including the walk across from IFRS to SII reporting

The actuarial components of the ORSA process and report

Contribute to building and updating a dynamic data directory, controls Matrix and data dictionary to support the process

Liaise with Finance and Risk where necessary to understand the key data and integrate into the TPC process

Extract information from various core data systems to populate TPC template for UKMU. This will vitally include understanding all underlying systems, processes, limitations and adjustments

Identifying all relevant components of the Solvency II technical account, defining them, developing high level rules for how these are expected to relate to IFRS and carry out sense checks between the two sets of accounts

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Part qualified or actuarial students who have had extensive experience in the SII arena. In particular in the estimation of TPs, SF and USP analysis and Pillar 3 and reporting requirements

Experience of working as part of Solvency II programmes/projects desirable

Strong understanding of identifying and capturing business requirements

Good inter-personal skills and capable of working with business stakeholders at all levels

Strong Insurance background
