Actuarial Work Stream Lead

PURPOSE
To support the Project Manager in the Client Accounting implementation of CLPS strategic L&P administration platform. This may be a product launch or a migration.

DIMENSIONS
The Work Stream Lead is required to fulfil any Actuarial Analyst specific responsibilities in general although being responsible for the wider end to end work stream solution.

If line management is applicable, the role holder will also perform duties in line with the Team Manager Job description.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
* Accountable for the definition and ownership of the full end to end integrated business solution for a specific release for the Actuarial work streams throughout the project life cycle.
* Responsible for defining the work stream end to end solution, whilst considering any strategic guidance/CLPS business or project objectives.
* Accountable for ensuring solution deliverables are joined up end to end within assigned work stream and wider business delivery and implementation teams. Ensure requirements reflect this where necessary.
* Responsible for defining and documenting the end to end Actuarial solution for the migration/implementation for agreement with all key stakeholders.
* Accountable for ensuring the definition of functional and business requirements needed to manage, develop and implement a solution for the specific release allocated and to the appropriate standards.
* Accountable for ensuring that all requirements are satisfied through logical and efficient solutions
* Responsible for ensuring requirements are managed and traceable from definition, through design/test and meet business and stakeholder needs.
* Manage and understand the impact of any challenges or complexities that arise to ensure the business solution is still fit for purpose.
* Responsible for ensuring that the business is able to accommodate all required manual workarounds ahead of implementation. In addition ensure all efforts and cost associated to their implementation is captured and are acceptable to all stakeholders and project.
* Work with delivery work streams to communicate business objectives and requirements, make decisions on delivery options and produce delivery efforts and timescales.
* Accountable for ensuring the quality of deliverable and ensuring reviews and validation of key artefacts are carried out where necessary
* Work with Project Manager/s to plan work and identify and manage risks and issues.
* Work with Client Accounting to define accurate, meaningful and measurable business cases. Including effort estimation and benefit realisation.
* Work with Client Accounting and any other business owners to define acceptance criteria.
* Production of and input into Project Initiation Documents defining high-level scope.
* Responsible for or ensuring that solution documentation is maintained
* Accountable for ensuring all test plans give complete full coverage of required deliverables.
* Produce and/or input to test plans and where necessary support execution.
* Carry out all the above accountabilities with adherence and applicable legislative requirements and in accordance with industry guideline and standards of best practice, including TCF

ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
* Broad knowledge of Life and Pensions products, system migrations, and general Financial Services knowledge.
* Coaching and mentoring less experienced colleagues, providing advice and guidance to support their continuing personal and professional development in order to optimise individual and team performance.
* Strong interpersonal/analytical and communication skills demonstrated in the ability to consult and influence successfully at every level throughout the firm and with clients and stake holders .
* Excellent leadership skills.
