Active Directory Systems Engineer - Antwerp Region
Required skills:
Windows Servers configuration and administration (2003, 2008) (5+ years)
Active Directory (5+ years)
Using LDAP for AD object management (5+ years)
VBS Scripting (5+ years)
PowerShell Scripting (2+ years)
Technical writing skills to produce documentation to internal standards
Experience with NetIQ DRA would be an advantage.
Microsoft certification is preferred
Role:
Clarify business requirements with customers and colleagues; plan and develop scripted solutions
Develop scripts that query AD and Storage Servers and update a database/directory as described
Document scripts and prepare them for operational implementation potentially under change control
Transfer knowledge to engineering colleagues and operational teams
Project Description:
The Identity and Access Management team is responsible for multiple directories and Identity Management Systems including Active Directory which is of specific relevance to this role.
The project involves creation of Powershell and/or VBS scripts to deliver functions such as:
a) Restoring account objects from a recycle bin container to an appropriate state in Active Directory (using LDAP queries), checking DRA logfiles and reporting when deleted and by whom
b) Discovering user home-directory locations and content sizes within the corporate environment and maintaining them linked to owner identities in a database or directory, with ongoing updates, alerting when deletion occurs, and providing queries and reports against the database
c) From multiple directories, discovering relationship between User Identity, Account ID, User Home Directory location, User mailbox location and maintain this in a database or directory with ongoing updates
d) Other incidental scripts as required
