ACS Engineer

My clients Back Office, ACS (Auto Configuration Server), is central to a number of Connectivity based use cases. We are looking for someone who has experience in Device Management, while also being proficient in programming and Scripting, including knowledge of network technologies.

Specifically, were seeking a candidate who can help to configure the ACS for CPE control based applications.

Their ACS uses an Object Orientated, Python based platform for a number of Connectivity use cases. We are looking for a candidate who has experience in Python programming to develop, code and test ACS platform interfaces (HTTP, REST, SOAP, XML) that interfaces between IT systems and network equipment.

DEPARTMENT

The Connectivity department, has responsibility to drive technology change across my client operating companies spanning multiple countries around the world. The Connectivity function responsibilities include the plan, design and build of E2E service Architectures and Technology selection support for specific technology areas.

The role of the Connectivity Developer/Engineer is to implement high level goals into a working, secure and scalable system configuration. It's about being accountable for developing my clients connectivity Platform applications and timely delivery of the technical requirements.

Its about being considerate of network, product, security, compliance, operations, planning and engineering requirements as well as the impact on IT, system integration and test teams.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- Radius experience
- Build of Splunk environments.
- Linux
- Python Scripting
- Working with WiFi hotspots networks
- Experience developing and configuring and improving networks
- You have affinity with home network equipment such as access points and home Internet gateways.
- You have an understanding of the needs, technologies and platforms in a large continuous production environment, which include security, scalability and maintainability.
- Experience and understanding of TCP, HTTP clients and Servers in a transaction based environment.
- Hands-on Systems experience in integrating connectivity applications, working from Bare Metal, Virtual, OS Level,
- Experience and detailed understanding of interfaces and protocols used in the collection, application and notification of controlwe welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
