ACQUISITION/EQUIPMENT SUPPORT MANAGER - DEFENCE EQUIPMENT PROGRAMME

This is a job opportunity within Government for a 9 month + contract position. It is also an excellent networking opportunity to move into different projects around the site and develop your career/experience, as MoD Abbey Wood is a large site with many Contractors and Contract opportunities.

BACKGROUND

Your job will be to support the coordination of DE&S activity relating to the Army Equipment Programme, specifically in relation to the Annual Budgeting Cycle and management of the Command Acquisition Support Plan.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be providing staff support to SO1 Customer Liaison in staffing key issues relating to the Army Equipment Programme with specific focus on understanding Army Early Years investment priorities.

Maintaining an overview of DE maintain an overview of Land Domain performance and provide input into monthly Performance, Finance and Risk Board.

You will also work alongside CoM(L)'s Chief Finance Officer to understand the impact of Resource and Plans decisions on the deliverability of the Army Equipment Programme.

REQUIREMENTS

For this job you will a background from either Government, a Defence related organisation or the MoD. You must understand acquisition, equipment support and an understanding of logistics is desirable.
