JOB TYPE: Contract
LOCATION: Gosport
DURATION: 3 months - rolling (Temp - Perm)
Acoustician required for a leading global defence company based in Gosport. To be responsible for technically leading the modelling of hydro acoustic problems using model tests in various facilities.
EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE
MUST HAVE:
- Experience of noise and flow measurement techniques
- Experience of acoustic modelling techniques and Software (eg the boundary element methods Sysnoise or Vnoise)
- Knowledge of computational modelling techniques for fluid dynamics (eg Unsteady RANS computations)
- Good Knowledge and understanding of commercial and UK Military Marine Industry.
- Degree in an acoustics or fluid dynamics discipline
BENEFICIAL:
- Background in design and investigation of low noise features of propellers and pump jets, turbo machinery/fluid dynamics/steady & unsteady experimental techniques/numerical modelling/FEA analysis.
