A fantastic new opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Payable Team Leader/Accounts Payable Manager to join a leading telecommunications company in Cheshire. This position is a contract role for 3 months and requires an immediate start.

This role will require you to support the Accounts Payable department in an Accounts Payable Team Leader/Accounts Payable Manager role. Looking after a team of 8 AP clerks, you will provide support to the Accounts Payable team and the Business as they adapt their processes to the new finance system - Microsoft Dynamics AX.

You will ensure that there is a strong control environment and that Suppliers are paid so that there is no business disruption and provide additional support where needed.

The Duties:

Working in conjunction with Procurement, you will work with the business to ensure P2P processes are correctly adopted, providing adequate support in training and query handling
Ensure processes within the AP team are fit for purpose and correctly adopted
Ensure all suppliers are paid within agreed terms, liaising with Treasury
Maintain the integrity of the AP ledger undertaking regular review of aged accounts and debit balances.
Supplier statement reconciliations
Ability to prioritise own and others work

Background:

To be suitable for this role you will have previously worked as an AP Team Leader/AP Manager and you will have held responsibility for managing an AP function.
Full understanding of P2P processes.
Previously worked within a busy and fast paced environment.
Industry experience is not essential but you must be able to liaise well at all levels and communicate effectively with business leads.
Previously used Microsoft Dynamics AX would be a huge benefit.
