Accounts Payable Manager

My client a leading/global media and entertainment company is looking for an AP manager to come onboard and help manage their finance and P2P teams.

Successful candidates must be fluent in French and English and be willing to travel the companies European offices on a regular basis.

- Reporting to the International P2P Director (who is based in London)
- Work closely with the central retained team, local op co, and outsource provider to drive structural improvements
- Monitor, review and standardize AP process flow for given territory
- Building/Maintaining relationship with AP outsourcing partner 'CapGemini in India and Poland, monitoring metrics/trends, identifying issues and implementing corrective/preventive actions
- Review and analyse AP trend (throughput, queues, bottlenecks) with IPO
- Implementation of financial best practices, improve efficiencies and balance internal controls
- Help with the change management to train and educate internal users and external suppliers on the correct process
- Ensure corporate governance, accounting standard compliance
- Drive performance measures/score-cards for the business to improve and ensure quality/service to internal/external customers
- Provide input and recommendations for regional, cross-functional AP process and system design
- Liaise with internal and external parties in case of urgent/high impact escalations
- Hands-on transactional support to help clear pending backlogs/issues, but also look at root causes and identify structural improvements to avoid repeat issues. This will include training users on the systems and processes, calling suppliers when necessary to update their masterdata/educate them on the process, etc.
- Must be able to travel extensively
