Accounts Payable Clerk

We are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk I for a 6 month contract position in Knoxville, TN

The electronic payments support role will be responsible for assisting with the Accounts Payable team with various electronic payment processes including but not limited to; the virtual credit card payment program and Converting vendors payment methods to EFT and Virtual Cards as well as updating vendor data in corresponding systems and other Banking Team operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Monitoring and updating the Virtual Vendor payment log and vendor payment portal

Processing daily payment runs in SAP for vendors receiving virtual card payments

Entering and processing daily payments in the vendor payment portal

Verifying that issued card numbers have been used and reconciling discrepancies

Providing limited inquiry support related to virtual card payment processing

Completing workflows related to vendor payment method changes

Other tasks, such as wire release, account reconciliations, and project assignments as needed or directed

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience in Finance, Accounting, or a related field 2-3 years of business experience
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers, vendors, and external business partners
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Suite of services
- SAP knowledge and experience with commercial cards helpful
